CAGS / SLG joint walk /buffet in West London

Abey and Chris invite you to join them for a walk (3- 4 miles) from RICHMOND station (meet ticket hall 11am) to West Twickenham (Fulwell) where a buffet will be served. Walk is flat, past the rugby grounds (admiring the Rugby statue !) and River Crane. Catch the Windsor train from Clapham Junction at 10:38. on platform 5/6 to Richmond or travel via the Kingston loop from west of Wimbledon. £3 food cost. Non walkers can bring a bottle for the social at house from 2pm.

South Bank Film '120 BPM'

Set in 1980’s Paris, 120 BPM is a passionate drama about two gay activists fighting a world indifferent to the spread of AIDS who struggle to overcome their own suffering through love. (In French with English subitles.) British Film Institute, Southbank, SE1 8XT. Meet by Box Office by 5.30pm. Tickets £7.20 (concs). Book direct with South Bank.

Joint with SLG group Thai New Year festival

12 noon Wimbledon. Celebrate Songkran with Thai folks (and others) in the spacious grounds of the Buddhapadipa temple, 14 Calonne Road, SW19 5HJ. Meet Basil (contact in advance ) outside the main entrance of Wimbledon station 12 noon.Snacks of typical Thai food are available on site - and / or optional lunch after at the Wibbas Down (Wetherspoons) pub near Wimbledon station / Theatre, around 2pm.

SLAGO Awayday Brighton

Our annual trip to Brighton for members of all SLAGO groups. We'll be travelling in the fourth coach from the front of the 11.20 from Victoria, calling at Clapham Junction at 11.26, East Croydon at 11.35, arriving Brighton at 12.16. Lunch at 12.45 for 1.15 at the Melrose seafood restaurant, 132 King’s Rd, Brighton BN1 2HH (on the seafront, very near the i360 and the remains of the West Pier). The afternoon is free, meeting 5.30 for early evening meal at the "gay-friendly" Regency Tavern, 32/34 Russell Square, Brighton BN1 2EF.

Silver Rainbow Lunch ( CANCELLED UNTIL FOLLOWING 14TH march )

Two-course lunch for LGBT people over 50. £7. Meals provided by UNACC (Upper Norwood Association for Community Care). Booking required: note....PHONE UNACC on 020 8771 6886 by 12 noon of the day before, saying whether you'd like the vegetarian option. Don't forget to mention you're with Silver Rainbow.
