Commemoration of Rex Batten

A reading event at Dulwich Library to to celebrate LGBT History Month and forty years of GAW, and in memory of GAW member Rex Batten on his 90th birthday. To include an introduction to Gay Authors Workshop and Paradise Press and Rex’s contribution to them, readings from Rex’s work, and short readings by other GAW members. It is hoped to provide refreshments.

SLG Cinema visit at South Bank

FILM: "Come Back to the 5 & Dime Jimmy Dean" 6.10pm Waterloo. In a barren Texas backwater, old friends and members of a James Dean fan club reunite 20 years after his death, They swap their emotional poverty for dreams –exposed as delusions with bitter disappointments. SLG Burn's Night Meal

Join SLG members for a Wetherspoons special event from 7pm Streatham Hill.Try something new (haggis, neeps and tatties, with a Scottish ale) or just choose from the usual comprehensive menu, at the Crown and Sceptre (Wetherspoons), 2A Streatham Hill, SW2 4AH (junction with South Circular). Preferably contact Basil or Tony (020 8543 0898) in advance so that we can bag enough tables together.

An Evening of Contemporary Song

Peter will present a selection of wonderful Youtube performances featuring singers (and one pianist) performing songs written between the 1950s and the present day. At Ross's house in Purley. £2.00 to cover the cost of snack food, soft drinks and tea and coffee. If you want alcohol, please bring it with you. 7.45 for a prompt 8.00 pm start.
