We will be celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, looking back to Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897, and remembering that more than half of the countries in the Commonwealth still have anti-gay legislation, inherited from the days of the British Empire.
This event will count towards the 2011-12 SLAGO Cup Competition. Come along and support your group!
Our annual trip to Brighton for members of all SLAGO groups. Some of us will be in the third carriage on the 11:06 train from Victoria (East Croydon 11:23), arriving Brighton 11:57. Meet at any of the following: 1pm for lunch at Café Bella, 120 St James Street; 4pm at The Tea Cosy, 3 George Street; 7pm at The Post and Telegraph (Wetherspoon), 155-158 North Street.
All SLAGO groups are invited to spend the day in Southend, travelling on the 12noon from Fenchurch Street, and meeting at “The Last Post” (Wetherspoons) opposite Southend Central (main exit via the subway) at 1pm.
