Pride parade, festival in Preston Park.If going from East Croydon catching the 10:23 train to Brighton would be a good bet to see the parade which starts at Hove Lawns at 11am and goes down Kings Road.The event can be booked but only £25 tickets are left.See web.
Parade runs from Baker Street to Whitehall, via Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square. Events in Trafalgar Square and Soho. Come and join the Croydon group and have a great day out.

RAB members took part in the Pride Parade, with a banner and placards.
Silver Rainbow members and others at London Pride. Some members walked in the parade with the banner, others rode on the Opening Doors bus.
The 2014 London Pride theme is "Freedom to..." As before some of us will be joining the older people's events, organised by Opening Doors: Brunch at the Quebec between 11 and 12, walking in the Parade from 1pm onwards (there may be a few seats on the bus for those unable to walk) and the relaxation area at St Anne's Soho from 2 to 6pm (free refreshments, partly funded by CHE), Contact Ross for more details.
It has been suggested that Croydon Pride should be revived for 2014, with a parade from the Town Hall and a festival in Wandle Park.
