LGBT History Month
For 2016 a full series of events is once again being planned for LGBT History Month in Croydon. There will again be displays in Croydon Central Library, The national LGBT History Month theme for 2016 is Religion, Belief and Philosophy.
Art Lester is the Minister of Croydon Unitarian Church. An American by birth, he has lived and worked in many different countries, including Botswana, the Dominican Republic, Kenya, Ireland and Spain. He has been a restaurateur, clown, fire tower guard, counsellor, village level teacher of agriculture, bartender and group facilitator. Along the way he has written and published widely. His talk, entitled "Thank God I'm an Agnostic", examined the parallels between being a Unitarian and the LGBT struggle for acceptance.

The monthly meeting for LGBT asylum seekers. This time meeting at the Braithwaite Hall for a brief business meeting and training session on promotion of mental health followed by a Chorus Rehearsal and networking with other groups prior to their performing at the Civic Launch of LGBT History Month at 5pm.
