CAGS and other local LGBT groups will mount their usual displays in Central Library. Ground floor and first floor, near the escalators.
Merton LGBT+ forum are holding a party to celebrate LGBT History Month. All welcome. Free admission and refreshments.
Paradise Press authors read poetry and prose. Light refreshments available.
Including a behind the scenes tour of the Surrey History Centre to see how the county's heritage is being preserved, and a number of short talks from Outline, Surrey's LGBT support organisation, and Professor Peter Hegarty of the University of Surrey. Free admission, no booking required. Refreshments.
Croydon's Launch Event for LGBT History Month 2017 will take place this year in the Mayoral Reception Area in the Town Hall, next door to the Central Library. To book your place, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 020 8777 1898 and leave a message if there is nobody in.
For LGBT History Month 2017 there were probably once again displays in Croydon Central Library, and a variety of events during the month. The national LGBT History Month theme for 2016 is Citizenship and the Law.

Our two speakers will be talking about the 1967 Sexual Offences Act which began the process of decriminalising gay sex. Part of CAGS's celebration of LGBT History Month.
