Cold January prompts a visit to the Museum of Croydon as I have never been there ! Croydon Clocktower , Katharine Street Croydon CR9 1ET. Meet at the entrance at 11am After we can have lunch at Wetherspoons (George Street ) 1pm.

The LGMC would love to see you this winter to hear our 200-strong voices in collaboration with a studio symphony orchestra for a programme With a variety of music showcasing Hollywood in all its grandeur, you can expect to hear a wonderful range of classics from the silver screen. Matthew will lead us through his home town. Up steep short hill then pass C11 church of St. Lawrence, a graveyard and some parks. Coulsdon Commnon through Happy Valley (sheep grazing) and up hill to Farthing Downs finish in Coulsdon Town. Lunch in pub or cheap Italian café. Could be muddy in parts so wear sturdy shoes or boots.Catch 09:59 train from E.Croydon (or bus 407) to Zone 6 Caterham Station entrance for start at 10.30.Finish Coulsdon (Zone 6) about 13.00 for bus/ train back. 5 miles approx.
